Mario Giacobini

Mario Giacobini, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Veterinary Sciences, University of Torino, where he leads the Computational Epidemiology Group. His research interests focus on artificial life, both as bio-inspired computational techniques and as modeling of biological phenomena principally using concepts and instruments of network science. Part of Mario Giacobini’s research activity is carried out at the Molecular Biotechnolgy Center of the University of Torino, where he is the principal investigator of the Complex Systems Unit. He has an Erdos number of 3 thanks to his more than 30 peer-reviewed papers in international journals and conferences.

 

Luca Ferreri

Luca Ferreri

Luca Ferreri received a MSc in Mathematics in 2010 under the supervision of prof. Ezio Venturino. He is currently a PhD student at the Computational Epidemiology Group of the Department of Veterinary Sciences, University of Torino, Italy, under the supervision of Mario Giacobini. His research interests are mainly on computational and mathematical models applied on the veterinary epidemiology.
