With the spread of web 2.0 and digital technologies, the divide between producers and consumers – of culture, of science, of news – has become more and more blurred. Building on the frameworks of Culture 3.0 and post-normal Science, in which the relation between the public and the experts is characterised by growing complexity, the conference “Age of Misinformation” aims at analysing the problem of disinformation and misinformation from an innovative perspective.
One day, five panels, and more than twenty policymakers and leading scholars from different fields for an interdisciplinary discussion on the role of misinformation and disinformation on culture, science, democracy and technology.
“Age of Misinformation: an interdisciplinary outlook on fake news” is a conference organized by @CEST ~ Centro per l’Eccellenza e gli Studi Transdisciplinari @Elsevier in collaboration with #Provenance H2020 project, #Detect – University Pisa and @Centro Einaudi and under the patronage of the @European Parliament.
